Michelle McGuire is a special education lawyer who literally is a voice for her clients. She fights to ensure that all children with disabilities have available to them "…a free appropriate public education that emphasizes special education and the related services designed to meet their unique needs and prepare them for further education, employment and independent living…." She serves and protects these children whose unique gifts and talents are often unappreciated, disregarded and misunderstood in our society. Through her efforts she positively alters the course of her clients lives so they can graduate from high school and have dreams and opportunities like their peers.

Michelle also has personal experience with the struggles her clients face. After she and her husband blended their families, Michelle had to fight for the rights of the children in her expanded family. She understands that this struggle is a marathon and not a sprint. This gives her a unique and very personal perspective of the challenges and frustrations her clients face each day.

Michelle has been practicing law for more than 10 years. She earned her law degree from Cleveland State Marshall College of Law and her undergraduate from Bowling Green State University. After being licensed to practice law in 2003, she was admitted to the Ohio Northern District Court.
